Nevidljive niti neslobode

Use Facebook, don’t let Facebook use you

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way

Pink Floyd

That is exactly what Facebook is doing to our lives. If we let it. When I summed up all the hours, days, years that I’ve spent reading the huge amount of bullshit people are posting on Facebook (and even more time spent actively contributing to it), I was devastated by the thought what good and creative things could have been done with that time instead. Years ago I made a self-liberating decision to stop following the mainstream media news. To stop polluting my brain with completely unnecessary facts that the rulers of this world call “news”, using the media to insert them in people’s heads in order to manipulate them. And now I’ve found myself as a participant in a cyber-reality show throwing around the same kind of garbage, only in a slightly different, interactive way. Is there a way out? Time for freedom is running out

How many more years of freedom in the nature do we have? Some say no more than 5. People are constantly hurded into towns by the global regime, as into some concentration camps where they can be easily monitored. And nature lovers are like cancer patients, knowing that their days are numbered, and it’s just a question how much longer they’ll live. All activities that represent individual freedoms are being banned, such as wild camping, or lighting campfires. People will not be allowed to stay in places where the regime doesn’t have control over them anymore, and where they’re staying for free. Everything is being commercialized, you have to pay for the right to live. Travelling in cars through the wilderness is being banned with the excuse that it is not ecological, but the true reason is the fact that an overland traveller is far too independent from civilization, and far too capable to move fast and be uncontrolled for the preferences of a police state. In the future we will not be entitled to do what we like to do anymore, but what the regime tells us to do, and what will be profitable, and easy to monitor for them. Soon we shall all say farewell to freedom. And for some of us, that will probably be the end of life. Because, a life without freedom is no life at all.
